The reason that I'm writing this now is because I'm poor. My only hope is to speak to the people of the world. I've learned that I can't be heard in my own country. Were I a helpless appealing creature such as a stray cat or puppy, it seems I'd have a better chance of someone coming to my aid. I am an animal lover. I had dearly loved dogs and birds as pets so I am not condemning anyone who helps an animal. I just find it hard to believe that people would try to save an animal's life and not that of a human being.
After many years of incarceration and seeing men commit suicide and go crazy not having anyone to talk with, it seems to me nobody cares enough to want to help us here. So that's why I'm taking my case to you, the people of the world, for it was outside my country many years ago that I found the kindness and acceptance I sought. Once again, I am seeking the kind people I know to be out there and pleading with them to come to my aid.
There is a verse in the Bible that says to give generously for the day may come when you need help yourself. That thought was not in my mind when I was able to help my friends. I saw that others needed help and I asked for nothing in return. My joy lay in being able to make a difference where it was most needed, whether it was with food, money, clothing or medicine. So I'm asking you, the People of the World, to hear me in your hearts and come to my aid, not as payment or any kind of compensation for what I might have done in the past but because I am a human being in desperate need of help. I urgently need a lawyer with the expertise to handle my case. My concern is that time is runing out for me. I pray that my voice will be heard. I speak to all humanity - please help me now.
Having no family of my own in this land, I made the world my family. I need that family now to save me. I don't know what else to say but pray that you, the people out there, won't let me die. People who care about what is right and wrong and real justice and setting things right. People who don't like corrupt courts and killing the poor because they can't afford a good lawyer.
